What it does

Protects pipework and improves the finished appearance of any building.

External pipes are an eyesore and vulnerable to weather, impact, and UV degradation. Sysclad trunking encloses them cleanly, protecting the pipework while maintaining a neat, consistent facade finish. Available in solid form for general pipework or with punched louvres for gas applications.

DUct types

Solid or louvred — choose what the pipe requires

Solid duct

For general pipework and electrical conduit. Fully enclosed to protect against weather and impact. Electrical ducts should be suitably earthed.

Punched louvre duct

Required for gas pipes. Louvres allow airflow so any leak disperses safely rather than building up inside the duct. Sides must be sealed back to the wall with an approved sealant to prevent gas entering the wall cavity.

INstallation notes

Gas pipes — seal the sides

Seal the sides of the duct back to the wall with an approved sealant. Gas escaping into mineral fibre insulation must be prevented — the louvres handle dispersion, the sealant handles containment at the wall.

Electrical ducts — earthing

All electrical trunking must be suitably earthed in line with current wiring regulations. Confirm earthing requirements with your electrical contractor before installation.

Louvres — gas pipes only

Punched louvres are specifically for gas applications. For all other pipework, use a solid duct — louvres on non-gas runs serve no purpose and reduce weather protection.
