CNC Punching

Faster than laser
for high-hole-countsheet work.

Sysclad's Amada Apelio punch press handles perforated sheets, louvres, and formed profiles faster and more cost-effectively than laser cutting — with a punching area up to 1275 × 2525mm and sheet lengths up to 4m.

when to punch press

Quicker than laser for perforated sheet work.

When a sheet needs many holes — perforated panels, mesh patterns, ventilation grilles — punching is faster and more cost-effective than laser cutting, even with our high-speed laser. Each hole is struck in a single action, and the machine can run through dense perforation patterns at speed.

Punch pressing also does something laser cutting cannot: it forms three-dimensional profiles in the metal. Louvres, ribs, embosses, and flanges can all be formed in the same operation as the punching — reducing fabrication steps and cost.

benefits

What the Amada Apello delivers

Speed on high hole counts

Faster than laser for dense perforation patterns — each hole struck in a single action with no beam movement required.

Precision throughout

CAM-programmed to exact tolerances — consistent positioning across every hole on every sheet.

Formed profiles in one operation

Louvres, embosses, and flanges formed directly in the sheet during punching — no secondary forming step needed.

Cost-effective for volume

Lower cost per part on high-volume perforated work compared to laser — without compromising on quality or consistency.

Versatile material processing

CAM software enables complex, flexible processing across different materials and pattern configurations.

Production line integration

Integrated into our wider production line — punch-pressed components feed directly into forming, welding, and finishing.
